Hey all!

It's Dave's birthday this next week on the 24th (the day after Thanksgiving) - he has stopped posting, so I thought I would let you know:) I know you won't be able to believe it but he's turning 27 - crazy, huh?!

So anyways....leave him a post or two-- or send him/us some money:). He's always saying that he hasn't got much longer, so you'd better hurry!

Marhaba (Hello) from Istanbul, Turkey!

Two weeks before we were set to leave we didn't think this trip was going to be possible, but with the prayers of many, and the financial support of several, we were able to raise the full amount of support needed for 7 weeks in Turkey!

We are here as a result of God's faithfulness!

Thank you to all of you who prayed for us in preparation for this trip, we truly appreciate your partnership with us in the ministry we are doing in Turkey this summer.

Please continue to pray for this dark and lost country--Turkey needs your prayers! And so do we:)

We have a great opportunity to step out in faith and trust the Lord this weekend!

We need to raise $500- $1500 in order to make our trip to Turkey possible, and over the weekend we need to find several key people who would be willing to commit to supporting us financially - if we can get enough commitments for a total of $1000 we are officially going and can buy the tickets on Monday!

Please pray for us. We both feel 100% sure that this is where God wants us this summer, and we know that He will provide...but our church won't let us step out and buy the tickets on faith unless we at least have a commitment from supporters for the $1000.

If you feel God laying it on your heart to be a part of this and to help us get involved in Muslim ministry this summer, you can help us financially by sending payment to the below address. Thank you in advance for your prayers and support, we can't wait to see what God WILL DO this summer in Turkey!

To Partner With Us

Make checks payable to: Park Community Church (subject Dave and Alayna Miller)
Send to: Dave & Alayna Miller

Adam Long taught me a few years ago that my time and personal comfort are expendable and should be used to bless others. I have been doing that as much I can in the last three years at Moody Bible and have found that most of the students don't notice or appreciate my efforts. But I know in my heart that the Lord does. Yes, I get one or two people every-once-in-awhile that thank me or take the time to bless me in return but I know that i do not work for man for he can give me nother of value compared to the Blessed Assurence of our Lord's smile!!

If you work for man you will have a good chance of ending up finacially rich. If you work for God you will have a good chance of ending up finacially poor. But, only God can assure you that your efforts will not be in vein! Bless the Lord!

I don't think I know what it means to "cherish" my wife. My pastor back in MI had recently found out that his wife has cancer and over the past few months he says that he has begun to understand just what it means to "cherish" her.

Can I do that? I respect Alayna, I admire Alayna and I try my best to treat her as well as possible. But do I "cherish" Alayna?

Cherish (Verb): To treat with affection and tenderness; hold dear.

Have I really learned what it means to "cherish" anything or anyone? I need to learn this concept in so many areas of my life. "Protect your relationship with Christ as if it were precious water in a fragile glass!"
